Interactive simulation of mobile radio channel fading characteristics
Instructions
To understand Wireless Fading Channels using Clarke's Model, please follow these steps:
Decide number of vehicles: use the 'Add Receiver' button to add upto 3 vehicles to the simulation. The remove button on each vehicle panel can be used to remove the respective vehicle.
Set velocities and carrier frequencies: for each vehicle, set the velocity (any positive number) and carrier frequency at which it receives the signal.
Observe the autocorrelation and PSD plots: the plots on the right panel contain color-coded curves corresponding to each vehicle.
Set the parameters: Set the vehicle velocity, message signal frequency (sine wave is transmitted), carrier frequency, number of multipath components and number of time samples.
Click 'Simulate Realistic Scenario' to run the simulation.
Observe the envelope of the received signal below the simulation setting in the center panel and the autocorrelation and PSD plots of the ideal and real case on the right panel.
